Axelina Johansson, a freshman at Nebraska representing Sweden, took third in the women's shot put final with a mark of 59-3 (18.06m) in the second round at the NCAA Division 1 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Johansson became the first Nebraska female athlete to earn All-America first-team honors in the shot put since 2006.
