Maddie Harris of Nebraska threw a lifetime-best 199 feet, 3 inches (60.73m) in the fifth round to win the women's javelin national title at the Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Harris elevated to the No. 4 all-dates competitor in collegiate history and became the first NCAA athlete since Maggie Malone in 2016 to win the U.S. national title.
