Addison Dorenkamp, an Alabama-bound senior at West Des Moines Valley High in Iowa, won the girls 1,500 meters in a meet-record 4:26.93 at the 114th Drake Relays Presented by Xtream and Powered by Mediacom at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. Dorenkamp, who eclipsed the 2010 performance of 4:28.30 by Katie Flood from Dowling Catholic High, elevated to the No. 2 all-time competitor in the state. She also contributed to West Des Moines Valley finishing fourth in the 4x800-meter relay in 9:21.23.
